CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

SECTION I

MEMBERSHIP CARDS & BADGES

ALL MEMBERS SHALL WEAR THEIR CLUB MEMBERSHIP BADGE WHEN ON CLUB PROPERTY AND PROHIBITED FROM GIVING THEIR MEMBERSHIP BADGE OR LOCK COMBINATIONS TO NON-MEMBERS. IF CAUGHT GIVING THEIR MEMBERSHIP BADGE OR LOCK COMBINATION CODES TO A NON-MEMBER TO USE MEMBERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINE, UP TO AND INCLUDING REVOCATION OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP.  DISCIPLINE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE BOD.

SECTION III

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

  1. BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ARE TO BE USED AND MAINTAINED BY MEMBERS ONLY, EXCEPT DURING SPECIAL EVENTS, TOURNAMENTS OR MATCHES AUTHORIZED BY THE BOD.
  2. VANDALISM AND LITTERING OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
  3. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR DRUGS ARE ALLOWED ON CLUB GROUNDS OR WITHIN CLUB BUILDINGS; UNLESS SPECIAL EVENT VOTED ON BY BOD.
  4. RANGES MAY BE CLOSED FOR WORK PARTIES, ARCHERY TOURNAMENTS, TURKEY SHOOTS, SHOOTING MATCHES OR OTHER SPECIAL OCCASIONS DESIGNATED BY THE BOD.

SECTION IV – GUEST AND VISITORS

  1. MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING A GUEST TO THE GB&GC ONCE TO SEE IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A MEMBER. (GUEST PASSES ARE AVAILABLE FROM MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY, INQUIRE).
  2. MEMBERS WHO BRING GUEST ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM. IF SHOOTING GUESTS MUST SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER AT CLUB HOUSE OR ON RANGES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THE RULES AND REGULATIONS. GUESTS PARTICIPATING IN TOURNAMENTS AND COMPETITIONS MUST SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER AND A COPY OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS AND A LIABILITY WAIVER.

SECTION V – ARCHERY COURSE RULES

  1. DURING SPECIAL EVENTS, THE COURSE BEING USED WILL BE CLOSED.
  2. ALL SHOOTING IS TO BE DONE FROM OR NEAR THE STAKES.
  3. BROADHEAD AND BLUNT ARROWS ARE PROHIBITED ON ARCHERY BUTTS.
  4. MEMBERS CAUGHT USING BROADHEADS OR BLUNT ARROWS WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINE, UP TO AND INCLUDING REVOCATION OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP. DISCIPLINE WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE BOD.
  5. WHEN LOOKING FOR A LOST ARROW, STAND A BOW IN FRONT OF THE TARGET SO OTHERS WILL KNOW THAT SOMEONE IS IN THE SHOOTING AREA.
  6. ONLY USE DESIGNATED TRAILS TO GO FROM ONE TARGET TO THE NEXT.
  7. DO NOT USE SHORT CUTS TO GO FROM ONE TARGET TO THE NEXT. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY.
  8. PICK UP ANY TRASH OR USED TARGETS. DON’T LITTER!!

Section VII – INDOOR ARCHER RANGE

  1. THE FACILITY IS AVAILABLE TO BE USED BY THE ELIGIBLE MEMBERS AT ANY TIME.
  2. WHEN THERE IS A TOURNAMENT IN PROGRESS, ANY MEMBER WISHING TO SHOOT MUST CONFORM TO THE RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT.
  3. WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL MEMBER IS USING THE FACILITY, THE MEMBER IS EXPECTED TO USE ONLY THE LIGHTS THAT ARE NEEDED TO ILLUMINATE THE LANE THAT IS BEING USED.
  4. ANY INDIVIDUAL MAY CHANGE THE TEMPERATURE SETTING NOT TO EXCEED 70 DEGREES AS THE RANGE IS OFTEN IN NON-USE.
  5. THE ARCHERY RANGE IS FOR THE USE OF MEMBERS ONLY.
  6. A GUEST MAY USE THE INDOOR RANGE ONCE FOR FREE AND MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A MEMBER. TO CONTINUE TO USE THE FACILITY, A GUEST MUST JOIN THE CLUB OR MEMBER MUST PURCHASE ROTATING GUEST PASS FOR $75.00. GUEST MUST WEAR IT AND SIGN ALL WAIVERS.
  7. NO CLASSES ARE TO BE HELD WITHOUT PERMISSION AND VOTE BY THE BOD AND MEMBERS. LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP MAY RESULT.
  8. WHEN LEAVING THE RANGE, THE USER MUST MAKE SURE THAT ALL LIGHTS ARE TURNED OFF AND ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED AND LOCKED. BE SURE PELLET STOVE IS AT 60-65 DEGREES.
  9. ANY MEMBER GIVING A NON-MEMBER THE COMBINATION TO ACCESS THE CLUB HOUSE OR ARCHERY RANGE WILL HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP REVOKED.

SECTION VI – RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGE RULES

These rules are for YOUR safety and the safety of everyone around you, even if you cant see them. We have neighbors VERY close to our boundaries and its up to you to make sure bullets stay within the boundaries of the ranges and that you follow these range rules. 

ALL MEMBERS ARE SAFETY OFFICERS.  IF YOU SEE AN UNSAFE ACT PLEASE CALL A CEASE FIRE, IDENTIFY THE INVOLVED INDIVIDUAL (IF SAFE TO DO SO) AND REPORT THE INCIDENT TO A CLUB OFFICER. RANGE GATES & CLUB DOORS ARE TO BE KEPT CLOSED AND LOCKED AT ALL TIMES  AFTER YOU LEAVE IF NO ONE IS UP AT THE RANGE. CLOSE GATE IF YOU ARE DONE AND NO ONE IS THERE.

  1. ALL SHOOTERS MUST WEAR EYE AND EAR PROTECTION AT ALL TIMES.
  2. NO SHOOTING BEFORE 8:00AM MON-SATURDAY. SUNDAY STARTS AT 9:30 AM. ALL RANGES ARE CLOSED AT SUNSET.
  3. FULL AUTO OR BUMP FIRING IS PROHIBITED EXCEPT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL WITH PERMISSION FROM THE OFFICE AHEAD OF TIME.
  4. EXPLODING TARGETS OF ANY KIND ARE PROHIBITED.
  5. USE OF TRACER AMMO IS PROHIBITED DUE TO DANGER OF FIRES & STEEL CORE AMMO IS PROHIBITED ON STEEL TARGETS.
  6. ALL SHOOTING ON THE RIFLE RANGE IS RESTRICTED TO THE DESIGNATED SHOOTING BENCHES OR DESIGNATED SHOOTING AREAS.
  7. SHOTGUNS SLUGS, RIFLES AND MUZZEL LOADERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PISTOL RANGE FOR SHOTS 50 YARDS AND UNDER. THIS IS DUE TO NO 50 YARD BERM AT RIFLE RANGE.
  8. CLAY TARGETS MAY ONLY BE SHOT TO RIGHT OF RIFLE RANGE BUILDING UNDER THE SAME SAFETY RULES REQUIRED OF ALL OTHERS. MUST PICK UP ALL SHOT GUN SHELLS.
  9. WHEN HANDLING A FIREARM THE MUZZLE IS TO BE POINTED DOWN RANGE AT ALL TIMES.
  10. ALL SHOOTING MUST STOP ON A RANGE WHEN TARGETS ARE TO BE CHANGED OR SET UP. THIS SHOULD BE DONE EVERY 15 MINUTES OR WHEN REQUESTED BY A MEMBER.
  11. NO ONE SHOULD GO DOWN RANGE UNITL EVERYONE ON THE LINE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT RANGE IS COLD. ALL FIREARMS ARE TO BE UNLOADED AND HOLSTERED, LAYING ON THE BENCH WITH ACTIONS OPEN, CHAMBER EMPTY AND THE MUZZLE POINTED DOWN RANGE OR PLACED IN A PROVIDED RIFLE RACK WHILE PEOPLE ARE FORWARD OF THE FIRING LINE CHANGING TARGETS OR WALKING IN FRONT OF SHOOTING AREAS. NO ONE IS TO HANDLE A FIREARM FOR ANY REASON WHEN SOMEONE IS DOWN RANGE.
  12. SHOOTING MAY RESUME ONLY AFTER EVERYONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE RANGE IS NOW GOING HOT.
  13. NO FIREARM IS TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED UNLESS THE WEAPON IS UNLOADED, ACTION IS OPEN, THE MAGAZINE REMOVED AND THE CHAMBER EMPTY.
  14. ALL BULLETS FIRED ON RIFLE AND PISTOL RANGES MUST IMPACT A BERM OR AN APPROVED STEEL TARGET. ALL PAPER TYPE TARGETS SHOULD BE PLACED AT THE PROPER LEVEL TO ALLOW BULLETS TO PASS THROUGH THE TARGET AND IMPACT INTO A DIRT BERM DIRECTLY BEHIND YOUR TARGET.
  15. NO SHOOTING AT CLUB PROPERTY (TRASH CANS, EQUIPMENT, ETC..). NO SHOOTING AT THE GROUND OR POND, BULLETS CAN SKIP. THIS CAN CAUSE A (ROCKS, POND, ETC.)
  16. ALL TARGETS ARE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE RANGE WHEN SHOOTING IS COMPLETED PUT IN RUBBISH IF SMALL OR TAKEN HOME.
  17. PRIVATELY OWNED VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON THE RIFLE RANGE TO SET AND CHECK TARGETS.
  18. ALL TRASH OR SHOTGUN HULLS MUST BE PICKED UP AND THROWN AWAY IN TRASH BINS. IF YOU SHOOT IT UP—PICK IT UP. IT IS YOUR RANGE TOO. PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN.

THOUSAND YARD RANGE RULES: (YOU MUST OBEY OR YOU WILL NOT SHOOT)

  1. MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE A 1000 YARD RANGE ORIENTATION BEFORE SHOOTING ON THIS RANGE.
  2. MEMBERS MUST DEMONSTRATE THEY CAN HANDLE A LONG GUN SAFELY AND THAT THEY UNDERSTAND LONG RANGE BALLISTIC CONCEPTS BEFORE SHOOTING ON THIS RANGE.
  3. NO SHOOTING FROM THE DESIGNATED 1000 YARD RANGE SHOOTING AREA IF MEMBERS ARE SHOOTING FROM THE COVERED RIFLE RANGE SHOOTING AREA.
